ABOUT Isaac Bokoko is a Cinematographer and Curator of Congolese,Guadeloupean, and Welsh heritage, from Islington and Camden.His passion lies in visual storytelling that explores identity,community, and the ways in which that intersects with day-to-day life. Bokoko’s work reflects a deep engagement with his livedexperience as a person of mixed heritage and coming from a working class background. The award-winning directorial debutfilm Benchwarmers funded by the Roundhouse as well as his work as Director of Photography on I Need To Talk To God are key examples of his exploration of community, belonging and resistance.The documentary You're a FOB explores themes of diaspora pride and identity. He is dedicated to challenging dominant narratives and amplifying marginalised voices through visual storytelling however throughout Bokoko’s career he explores and blends many artistic practices. He is one of the key leadersbehind Community Film Collective and founder of ShadesOf,a Collective dedicated to creating safe spaces for young emerging artists to exhibit their work.His curatorial credits include his work on ShadesOf Resistance and ShadesOf Migration held at the The Bomb Factory Arts Foundation gallery in Marylebone.




CINEMATOGRAPHYAs Director of Photography having shot various mediums including documentaries, short films, and commercials, Isaac leverages his experience to create impactful, emotional visuals. Having worked alongside clients such as NHS, Apple TV, Fully Focused Productions, and many other commercial clients, Isaac comprehends how to adapt to fit the director's and clients' stylistic needs.

Coming up through the camera department, Isaac has worked on recognisable shows such as Call The Midwife, PRU, and AppleTV+'s Liaison as a camera trainee. He has also served as a camera assistant on short films, including the BAFTA & BIFA Qualifying Man2Man

This diverse experience has given Isaac a vast understanding of the technicalities of cameras and the impact he can bring as a DOP.
